1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Hiyaavahi MV. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

Hiyaavahi MV is an online marketplace that connects people looking for accommodation or short stays with people who list available places in Greater Malé.

Hiyaavahi is not a property owner, landlord, broker, or payment escrow for rentals. Arrangements between seekers and listing owners — including visits, deposits, and rental agreements — are made directly between those parties.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and keep access to your account secure
  • You are responsible for activity under your account
  • We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or put users at risk

4. Listings

If you publish a listing, you confirm that:

  • You are allowed to offer the place described
  • Details, photos, price, and availability are accurate and kept up to date
  • Contact details you show are correct and appropriate for public enquiries
  • Your listing does not mislead, impersonate others, or violate the law

We may edit, hide, or remove listings that appear unsafe, fraudulent, spammy, discriminatory, or otherwise unsuitable for the marketplace.

5. Promotions (Featured & Boost)

Paid placements such as Featured and Boost increase visibility according to the package you choose and our current placement rules.

  • Orders may require manual payment verification before going live
  • Placement timing can depend on approval, scheduling, and package limits
  • Promotion fees are generally non-refundable once review or placement has started, unless we decide otherwise
  • We may pause or end a promotion if a listing or account breaches these Terms

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, harmful, or illegal content
  • Harass others or misuse contact details from listings
  • Attempt to disrupt, scrape abusively, or reverse-engineer the service
  • Bypass security, reporting, or promotion systems
  • Use Hiyaavahi for spam or unrelated commercial abuse

Users can report listings. We review reports and may take action without notice when needed for safety.

7. Liability

The platform is provided on an “as available” basis. We work to keep Hiyaavahi reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect ranking, or that any listing will lead to a booking.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hiyaavahi is not responsible for disputes, losses, damages, or issues arising from interactions between users, off-platform payments, property conditions, or third-party services.

8. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. The effective date at the top will be revised when changes are published. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms.
